Meaghan's Peacock Cake

Irish Stout Chocolate Cake; Godiva Liqueur Frosting

This rich, chocolate cake was made for Meaghan's 23rd birthday as an homage to our long friendship (and a peacock feather headpiece that she wore to our senior dance). This cake posed a challenge because it had to survive the drive up I-35 to Austin without any help. Luckily, it only sustained minor damage and I was able to repair most of it once I got to her house. Painting the string work once I got there was pretty rough, though... Again, I seem to have to do everything the hard way.
